BONJOUR!

Bucket List!

I know Paris is on A LOT of people’s bucket list. Paris is my absolute favorite city and YOU HAVE TO GO! Many people want to go but don’t because they think it’s super expensive. I am here to tell you that it’s not as expensive as you think. As I’ve said in the last post, package deals are your best friends. The second time I went to Paris, I did a package deal I got from Expedia.com and the flight and hotel was less than $800 per person (it was 2 of us) and we stayed in the Opera District (9th Arrondissement).

Arrondissement

Let’s start off with Arrondissements. So, Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements. When you start to do your research to go to Paris you’ll see the word “arrondissements” everywhere. Depending on where you’ll want to stay these are important to know. If you want to stay by the Effiel Tower that’s the 7th

Let’s start off with Arrondissements. So, Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements. When you start to do your research to go to Paris you’ll see the word “arrondissements” everywhere. Depending on where you’ll want to stay these are important to know. If you want to stay by the Effiel Tower that’s the 7th arrondissement, The Lourve is in the 1st arrondissement and Champs Élysée (where all the great shopping is located) is in the 8th arrondissement. The area I would recommend staying in is the 8th where you’re close to a lot of things or the 9th, you’re still close however you will save a little bit of money staying in the Opera District.

EIFFEL TOWER

There are PLENTY of things to do and see in Paris. First, you have to see the Eiffel Tower. There’s no way you can go there and not see it, RIGHT?! The first time I went to now, a lot has changed. Prior to 2017, you could walk right up to the tower, now there are security lines. If you just want to see the tower there is a security line for that, if you want to go inside the tower that’s a separate line, if you already bought advance tickets, you guessed it, that’s another line. With your ticket, you can go up to the first, second, or third floor. Please pay attention because the lines will look like 1 big line and you’ll be standing in a line you don’t have to. At 8pm the tower lights up for 5 mins every hour on the hour until 1am, a beautiful sight to see. There are also restaurants and gift shops in the tower, who wouldn’t want to say “yes, I did have lunch at the Eiffel Tower”.

The Lourve

The Lourve is the place that houses all works of art, including the famous Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, A Stairway to Victory, and The Wedding Feast at Cana just to name a few. The Lourve is the most visited museum and when you go, you’ll see why. If you looked at everything for 30 seconds each it would take you 200 days to see everything. Imagine if you 1 min to look at everything. I’m pretty sure you already know but you need to get advance tickets. The lines can be very long. I would suggest getting the tickets where you can skip the lines, you’ll thank me later. When you get in, run, don’t walk to the Mona Lisa, that should be stop number 1. It’s not as big as you think and it gets VERY crowded and will be hard to snag a pic.

This pic is exactly how it looks at the Mona Lisa, which is why I advise you to get there early!

ARC DE TRIOMPHE

One of the monst recognizable streets is the Champs Élysée and on that street sits the Arc De Triomphe. You can go to the very top of the Arc and you will get the BEST view of Paris! You want to get your tickets ahead of time to make your visit up to the top.
